The boys varsity football team ended it’s season at 7-4 last night by falling to Veterans High School 28-6.  The team will lose 16 seniors but will be back bigger and stronger next year with QBs Avaun Rucker and Fred Collins,  WR Derwin Burgess II and RB Malik Harris for the offense and Jaylin Finley and Pearce Brown will lead the Raiders on the defensive side of the ball.  Some highlights from the season include a Southside Classic victory over North Clayton, Coach Hackney’s 100th career win and being named Fox 5 Team of the Week.

The current GHSA re-classification has the Raiders moving from 5A to 4A and in a region with North Clayton, Mt. Zion, Fayette County, Luella, Hampton and McDonough.

Congratulations Raiders and Thank You for another exciting Season of Football.
